About the club
Membership
The University of Nottingham Staff and Postgraduate Squash Club is open to all staff and postgraduate students along with past students and associate members of the University. Players are required to have a Sports Facilities Membership card from the University and there is a £5 annual UNSPSC fee.
League
A league operates throughout the year with the league divided into divisions, usually with six players in each. Within a division the players have to play each other once during a session lasting about six weeks (i.e. each player plays five matches). Each match is the best of five games and points are awarded depending on the final score. At the end of the session players are promoted and relegated accordingly (usually the top two players go up a division, and the bottom two drop down a division).
Knockout Tournament
In the Spring term there are two knockout tournaments. One is standard and the other handicapped. In both tournaments there is also a plate tournament (i.e. a tournament for all those who lose in the first round). The finals of the tournaments are held on a special finals night in April or May.

There are seven squash courts at the main sports centre on University Park and two squash courts at the Jubilee sports centre on Triumph Road. There are viewing galleries for all the courts and full changing room facilities. Courts are available from 9.00am - 10.30pm Mon-Sat and from 9.00am - 4.30pm on Sunday. There are also two courts at the Sutton Bonnington Campus.
